The Art Beyond Boundaries gallery is a professional, main-stream visual art gallery for local artists with disabilities to display, market, and sell their artwork. The gallery is hosted and facilitated by The Center for Independent Living Options, a local non-profit established in 1977 that provides independent living resources to adults and children with all types of disabilities. The purpose of the gallery is to promote awareness and understanding of artists with disabilities.
Since the gallery opened in December 2005, more than 250 pieces of art and more than 70 artists have been featured from organizations such as Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired, Clovernook Center for the Blind, Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati, and Visionaries & Voices.
Several exhibitions are held each year in addition to special events such as Fine Arts Fund Sampler Artist Reception, Art Workshops, Gallery Talks during Final Fridays, and artist demonstrations during 2nd Sundays on Main.
