Having done her student teaching for art at Sands Montessori, Gray became involved with the Montessori Education and graduate studies at Xavier University. A gifted and visionary teacher, Gray taught off and on, developing related arts curriculum for Pre-K Montessori programs around the city.  Earning the respect of educators and parents alike, Gray chose to stay home with each of her children during their early years.

Gray spent 18 years raising her four children while completing her BFA at UC; she graduated with a 4.0 and earned certificates to teach art K-12 and elementary K-8. In 1997 after a series of personal struggles, she returned to her art! She rented a studio and picked back up on a journey of painting that hasn’t stopped since!
