CURRENT EXHIBITION
Located in Over-the-Rhine in downtown Cincinnati, Art Beyond Boundaries gallery works to promote awareness and understanding of artists with disabilities. The gallery operates as the centerpiece of the arts program for The Center for Independent Living Options (CILO), Inc. Since opening in December of 2005, the gallery has been widely successful in the Cincinnati community. The gallery continues to grow, attracting a wider variety of artists and visitors from all around the area. The gallery has even had a number of international visitors, both individuals and groups.
Since the gallery provides a place for artists with disabilities to display, market, and sell their artwork, they are given the opportunity to establish themselves in the art community of Cincinnati. The artwork spans every kind of media: painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography, sculpture and mixed media. Like the artwork, the artists are diverse. They are of all ages, genders, races, and disabilities. The artwork covers a range of talent levels and skills, however each artist works to their personal highest level. The gallery strives to demonstrate to both the artists and the community that art transcends the limits of disabilities.
